HUNGRY

For this years's Masculinity, Sex and Popular Culture Research Network convention in Berlin, Sophie-Yukiko  created and choreographed the piece "HUNGRY".

Together with dancer and performer Maurice Jabar Werner, she performed a duet about the unfulfilled promise of masculine love: The obsessive crave that is created by the constant withdrawal and lack of love by partners, brothers, fathers, mentors. The piece, Inspired by Bell Hooks book "The Will to change", premiered at Schwules Museum Berlin in Berlin 2020.
